Hair Care + Some Links!
As much as I love skin care and makeup, there is also a large place in my heart for haircare.
I don't know what it is but I am constantly on the lookout for for different hair masks, primers, shampoo, conditioner, hair oil, you name it. Read on for a few products I have been loving!
So first off, I want to talk about an oldie but a goodie: Redken Pillow Proof Blow Dry Express Primer. I actually found out about this from my stylist, and what originally got me was its scent! I don't even know how to describe it but it smells GOOD. Now I've actually heard that some people love the smell and some people don't prefer it. But for me, it smells so nice, and I love putting it in my hair. Ill spritz it through my damp hair pre-blow dry, and it is a heat protectant and it is supposed to make the blowout last longer. I will say, I love a blowout on the second day, and this definitely adds to it!
Next, is another product that I have been loving, the Living Proof Restore Treatment Mask, which I use a couple times a week and is very hydrating and heals/protects my hair from breakage as a result of heat styling, over washing, etc. It is a bit of a hefty price tag for the full tub, at $42, but there is a lot of product, and even with my long hair it will take me a long time to use up. I am not a massive fan of the smell, but I do feel like it works, and thats really all that matters. I use it after I shampoo, wait several minutes, and then rinse it off.
Ok third one that I have been loving for a little while now (and I am almost done with my trial size! Need to order the full thing!) is the Briogeo Don't Despair, Repair mask. I lovvvve this mask. It feels a bit more "repairing" shall we say, than the Living Proof mask. I use it the same way, right after shampoo, and wait a few minutes before rinsing. I repeat: I need to buy the full size. I actually like the whole Briogeo line and have been wanting to try the Scalp Revival exfoliating shampoo.....
Please let me know of any great hair products/masks you have been loving -- I love learning about new product! Read on for some links I loved this week:)
I thought this was pretty interesting and definitely worth a try for people who suffer with anxiety.
I loved this piece on Man Repeller, although I have never waited tables, I did work in retail for a looooong time and that too, taught me some valuable lessons.
I do not think there is anything I love more than reading someones skincare (or really any other sort of) routine. This one was especially extensive and amazing.
Paula, of Thirteen Thoughts (one of my favorite blogs!) always has awesome life advice. Seriously she has so much wisdom be it makeup, blogging, working, lifestyle, etc. she does it all. I loved her recent post on productivity.
Be back soon with some more fun content xx Taylor
